|
The study was conducted in order to investigate the effect of multicultura characteristic, parent-relationship and social support on emotional abilities of multicultural children. A questionnaire survey was used to targeted, 165 multicultural children in the 4th ~ 6th grade were selected from elementary schools in Jeollanamdo area. The data was analyzed by using the frequency, Cronbach`s α, ANOVA, Pearson`s correlation and hierarchical regression by SPSS 12.0 program. The results were as follows: first, the emotional abilities were different according to the multicultural characteristic, parent-relationship and social support. second, the influential variables regarding the emotional identification and expression were relationship with mother, peer support, mother`s nationality. And, the influential variables regarding the emotional regulation were relationship with mother. The results of this study will provide information for the improvement program for emotional abilities of multicultural children.
